but I've never actually played anyone before.
It seems kind of hard to play someone in a game that takes hours.

No, of course not. Actually, we do have a sub-forum dedicated to the Multi-players among us. It is located here. But you will find that many of us play only, or almost only, Single-player (against the computer).Originally posted by Rehan
Am I the only one who only plays against the comp?
I was just wondering about that. Because when I lived in the dorms on campus, I used to play Civ II against other people there, but whenever I'd have to go somewhere, I'd just have to give up. Thanks for the info. I'll look into that because a couple people I know wanted to play, but our schedules don't coincide at all.Originally posted by Padma
For myself, I do sometimes play PBEM (Play By EMail). It allows you to play against other human opponents, but does not require constant on-line connectivity. On the other hand, each game can take a loooooooong time to finish.![]()
I almost managed to finish my first allied PBEM with donsig, but in the end the file became corrupted. It didn't matter much in the end though; I'd nuked the entire enemy civ (on its own continent), and we're invading the razing its cities.Originally posted by Padma
