Me and my cousin really love civ4, its one of our favorite games now, but we can't seem to play multiplayer. For that matter we can't seem to play multiplayer in any game! Gamespy doesn't work for me, TCP/IP doesn't work for either of us and we can't figure out how to do a play-by-email game. Yes, we're pretty pathetic, but I was hoping that someone could help us out.
The main questions are:
Why doesn't Gamespy work?
Why can't we connect to eachother's games through TCP/IP?
And how does play-by-email work and what the heck is a STMP (or whatever it is) server/address?
Any answers would be 100% awesome, we really want to play this game!
