Multiplayer won't be included with Civ3 release!!!! Fight Back!!

I'd rather see them use their remaining time to fix bugs & sharpen the AI. Worry about MP another day. Surely we can entertain ourselves with SP for a few months, right?

Although it is clear that we MP's are in the minority, it does not diminish the fact that we find it as fundemental to the game as SP's find playing a stupid AI fundemental. Firaxis is technologically advanced enough to include MP in Civ3. Maybe they should worry about MP instead of that damn web site you all have been clamoring over for God knows how long. I personally would rather have the MP option included as to having a history quiz everyday. Come on Firaxis, cut the BS and include the MP, or at least a patch in a reasonable amount of time.

Still no word from Civ3 Official Site...

I can tell you that if no Civ3 MP, WE WILL CONTINUE TO PLAY CIV2 MP until it is available.

Why are the SP slamming on the MP. Who did the survey to say that MP are they minority here. If MP is the minority it could be because Civ2 came out SP first and some people had to go to MP later on and maybe some of the SPs didnt want to pay for it. I would like MP to come out with Civ3 but i will wait for if it does not. I think its silly for any SP to put down a MP player playing human competition makes you better it is unpredictable can any of you guys say the same thing for the ai, i doubt it.

In my opinion, SP and MP require such different playing styles as to consider them almost separate games. I love the challange of MP, but I am sure 6 months of SP will be a good enough of a test to keep me happy. Will people really boycott the game because it comes with only SP? sheesh and they call this a fanatics center! <img src="tongue.gif" border="0">

I think I will be ok with out multiplayer. Why? Because I NEVER played a multiplayer. I hope that multiplayer comes with the first release of it, though. It would really hurt the way people think of the game. Just as long as it is out in time for my birthday...

I dont have a problem with the SP players it was just starting to bug me that we were getting put in the minority catagory. Most of the time i can find a game with someone any time i feel like it but dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with SP. The only problem i have with firaxis is I would think that they would have had some idea about MP of Civ3 before now it almost a month and a half away you mean to tell me they couldnt figure out that they werent going to be able to put it out in a month but realize that its going to take six months to get out. I really hope this isnt a ploy to make some extra bucks i guess we shall see when it comes out.
