I've always wondered "Why can't I brooker peace/trade/alliances between two other nations?"

I think we should have an option like or relating to this. I have this problem when my allies start attacking each other and I'm caught in between a rock and a hard place. We should be able to end wars/embargos between two other nations by simply holding talks where you can lay out a deal between them and if they like the deal then poof your good. :) I think this idea is already represented in civ4.

Well you will be able to ask (bribe) a civ to make peace with another civ or go to war with another civ.

As long as the interface works, why not?

I like the idea of having a group of people declare war in a large alliance (like WW1 and WW2) rather than a hole heap of pairs. I also like the idea of being able to end WW1 and WW2 all at once in one giant diplomatic meeting.

It would be kind of like the UN.

Ive heard about this before being a possibility in Civ 4. Is what ive heard just speculation and wishful thinking or is it actually going to happen ? I for one certainly hope so as this si something i wanted back in civilization 2 and hoped it would be in civilization 3.

alpha centuri had a diplomacy screen that allowed alot of options..it needed work but it was neat...im pretty sure there will be some multi party diplomacy in civ4 too

I agree with your conference idea, i concur!
