Not much of faq yet, but i find this questions usefull and will place answers here as soon as i get em :).

1. What Difence Bonus means? Its like strength 9 + 25%?
2. If cell where unit stands have Defense Bonus 50% will this bonus disapear if this unit attacks enemy melee unit in nearby cell?
3. Will bonus disapear if my archer or musketman attack enemy in nearby cell (because as animation shows they actually stand in same cell and enemy units come to attack them)?
4. There is 2 horizontal cells with same resources other civ build city at right side cell and gets borders on both resources, i build city on left side cell and nothing happens with enemy borders, then i checked after some time and my boarders was on left side resource, why this happened?

And sometimes enemy city boarders pushing my boarders back even if city is build far from my borders, this somehow related to culture?
5. If i build road to resource outside of my borders (not on enemy boraders) will i get access to this resource?
6. How you build offshore oil platform?

1. Defense bonus is a terrain bonus, that only applies when you're defending from that square (or cell, as you call it). It's a percentage bonus; 25% for hills, 50% for forest or jungle, and 75% for both.
2. Yes, you only get the defense/terrain bonus while defending.
3. Yes.
4. Your city probably gained enough culture to push the enemy borders back. But if the enemy city has a whole lot of culture, they can push your borders back even to the square your city is on. It takes a lot of culture to do that.
5. No, you also need to build a mine/farm/whatever on the square, and you can't do that until it's in your borders. If you end up with a resource that has the right improvement on it and has a road to it, it still needs to be in your borders to claim it. After all, if you could get it when it's not in your borders, so could the AI.
6. Work Boats. The oil has to be in your borders, and you need plastics.

Defense bonuses can be classified in 2 ways:

1) Terrain
2) Man made

If you want those bonuses, stand on the appropriate tile. When I invade a city, I like to stand on a hill, if possible, so if the city troops attack me first, I have a defense bonus. You can also build forts with your workers, but unless you control a choke hold point, it seems like a bit of a waste of time, because the fort is only useful when the enemy attacks it. It's useful to attack a city, but not to attack a fort, unless they control a thin corridor, but that's highly unlikely (perhaps on a custom map).

By all means, build walls and castles in your key cities to make attack more difficult.

Man made bonuses can be destroyed with catapult's bombard option.

What determines whether I am allowed upgrade units stationed in a city? Which (if any) of the following factors matter?

1. Barracks
2. Whether enemy units are near the city
3. Trade route to capital.

Thanks in advance for the help.

If 4 civilizations research Meditationat same time and all 4 finish research at same time, which civ gets buddism religion first (considering that only first to research Meditation gets buddism)?

1. Doesn't matter
2. Doesn't matter
3. Doesn't matter (situationally dependant, see #4)
4. Access to appropriate resources
5. Inside your cultural borders, don't need to be in a city

In this case, I guess it is the civilization that has done his turn first
