She does a lot of printing and scanning pictures. And the copier isn't essential, but would be nice. And it needs to be under 60 dollars.

She would prefer the combo, as her desk is small from what I understand.

But she lives near Nashville, and is going there in October. Does anyone know any good ones?

Thanks. :)

P.S. This is the same friend who is buying a computer. I suggested to her getting the combo, as it might be cheaper. I got my combo for only 50 dollars, when seperatly, the scanner, copier, and printer would be 30-40 each.

I don't know how much things cost in America (EDIT: I don't know how much things cost in Canada either)but last time I bought a new printer, I got the cheapest in all the stores in my city and it still cost €80 ($110ish)

I live in Canada, and got mine about 50 dollars.

You could try ebay or a buy and sell magazine to get a used printer of a better model for that price

It doesn't matter, anything at that price is going to be cheap crap, so just pick out the prettiest looking one.

Mine is pretty good. It is HP. I never had problems with it.
P.S. I forgot to note, I got it when it was on sale. I think original price was 75-80.

She should know that with a cheaper printer, its going to be even more ink-guzzling than a more costly one. Thats how the manufacturer makes money on printers. Its the ink that gets them all their income. So as Zelig said, with the budget being that low, just go for the prettiest looking printer. In the end, its still going to be crap.
