My Icq list is gone...

Hello everyone,

I have lost my icq list, and there were many many people on it, which made it easier for me to contact people.

Many of the people on my list were Civ players, and I had a section heading for it.

If you were on my ICQ list, please re add me to, because this will save me from having to spend 300 years trying to remember everyone that was on it.

What are you talking about? Who are you referring to? Me? There is no list. I just want the ppl that were on MY list to rejoin, so that I don't have to try and figure out all the numbers by myself.

...and I am not sending my list to anyone!

I got a virus, and tried to reformat my C: drive (coz I have all the important stuff on D: drive) but i couldn't even reformat C: drive coz the virus ruined it, now I have to use only my 1GB D: HDD for a C: drive! I lost all the work for the last 6 months, everything I was making for my website, photos pics you name it! I make backups of my website, and icq list etc on my D: drive (coz it doesn't have OS on it, I thought it would be safe) pah! What a pain in th rear! I am totally shattered!

ICQ isn't like MSN or YAHOO, the contacts are files on your puter, and NOT on the messengers server! SO, if you lose your ICQ, you have to redownload a new one, and you don't get squat!

P.S. My advice, save your contact list to a floppy if you have a large and important ICQ list!!!!
P.S.S. If you know anyone that thinks its funny to spread viruses and bugs, give the a smack in the ear for me - REALLY wind it up too!

I got a virus once... But it didn't destroy the memory, only some other parts of the computer. Luckly, it was a new kind of virus, so the guys in the computer store couldn't proove it was really a virus, and I got my PC repaired for free (It was a new computer, so they had to fix it if something went wrong).

I don't understand it.
How excactly do people get viruses?
In my life i have picked up one trojan and thats it... that was at 2am and i was drunk.
I mean, its kinda dumb DLing stuff from unsecure places, and also opening files form ppl u dont trust.
and anything that is sent from email.

I have no idea how I got my virus. Probably one of those warez site...
Anyway, you can get virus from someone you know - some of the viruses send e-mails to all the people in the contact list, and they do so using the e-mail of the damaged computer.

1.)I never get warez from warezsites, i get them all off a computer nerd mate who has already installed them.
2.) i never open email program attachments because of viruses that foward.
