Here is a screenshot of some of the tricks my new TV Tuner can do. :) When you minimize it, it can automatically play the TV as the desktop wallpaper!!

Edit: Weird.....it only shows black?? When I paste the screenshot it actually KEPT UPDATING in PSP5!! And MS Paint. But now I can't show it's coolness. :(

That sounds pretty cool CM. What model is it? and the cost? Give us the low down!

You have cable TV right? So why doesn't it pick up all the channels. That kinda of scares me away from getting a TV tuner.

Yeah...cable TV. It should actually come though better then the TV because the TV has to go through a cable converter.....but remember...I live way out in the country...and the wiring in the house is old. Plus we get wireless cable not a real cable.

I have also a TV Wonder PCI. I don't even use the MMC software provided by ATI! The quality sucked! So I used a freeware TV decoder and... the quality is... Awesome! Weird isn't it. First time I can see an unofficial software working even better than the tools provided with a TV Card, programmed by the manufacturer itself!!!
Weird. Really.
Anyway then, I can even decode crypted channel :) for free. I know it's illeg...< blaaaam > too late. The FBI has banged my door :D

I got them... huh, well... eh hehe ;) The weather's quite nice today eh? ;) What about chatting on MSN? Actually, it's for SECAM system. I'm not sure they'll work for NTSC though. Maybe, maybe not. They can support Europe PAL too. But since they were programmed by europeans people for european use... I'm not sure it will work. Anyway, we can talk about that.

I love TV tuner cards! I can play Civ and watch TV without looking away from the monitor. :goodjob:
My Hauppage has one strange problem though - you can't play sol while the TV's playing, it just crashes. How weird is that?

Dunno, it always says sol has caused a fault in the kernel. Freecell works OK (damn good job too - if I couldn't play Freecell I'd be really p*ssed) ;)

I did d/l the latest drivers for the card but that didn't help. I just can't think why such a basic program like sol should be the only one affected - it even works OK on top of SMAC, although it's a bit psychedelic to say the least... :crazyeyes
