Fourthly I obviously messed up on using civFanatics as a small guide so I didn't have to slow down my computer too much by running the game.
Can somebody tell me what this means? Does he use this forum as a sort of notepad where he writes his notes for himself, so that he doesn't have to consult the game but can consult the Inet if he wants to look up something? Is this really what he says?
Fifthly the stars were how I would gauge the abilities of that civilization in the selected area if you want me to give an explanation I will include it in my next civ post (most likely Persia). Sixthly I am doing this because I have been on civ fanatics for a while and noticed the missing strategy guides for 3/4 of the civs.
Actually I have no idea if there are any strategy guides missing, I haven't read the whole forum. Have maybe once thought, that Civ is about playing the map, and not the leader? If you know how to play the map, you can play any leader, there simply is no need for leader-specific threads. There are tons of game-specific threads, top ranked UUs, top ranked UBs, all these threads exist already, what you are doing here is not only not special, it's annoying!
I'm going to replay you, I'm selling cars now, but you want a boat. I answer to you "The Mercedes Benz is a very good car, the BMW is a very bad car" . You say "but I'm here to buy a boat" . I say "I know, but I've noticed that there is a lack for Cars at your place, I'll tell you, the Mercedes has ... ... ... and the BMW has ... ... ..." now you get mad and say "I don't need a car, I have a motorbike, I have a bicycle, and I can drive with the bus" and I say "see, now the Mercedes has a star on its front, and the BMW a propeller" ...
...
..
.
This is somewhat a) Playing the map > playing the leader. b) There is already tons of information by tons of users you are ignoring c) nobody has anything of knowing something is rated a 4 or a 5 by you.
What people have something of, are:
1. At which lvl you play.
2. In which time you win.
3. Which tactics you use on that way.
4. How you adapt to the map / settings.
5. What you know, that nobody knows.
Etc.
Those are interesting things, your ratings = just not interesting, opinions are there, tons of them, nobody cares, except people tell the things I mention above with them, I'll give you another example.
China:
UU: Cho-Ku-Nu (irrelevant, because everybody knows that) , but now:
TACTIC USED TO WIN: Skip Fishing, create a GS, bulb Machinery with GS, have Cho-Ku-Nu's by 1000 BC!
Viable up to: Deity lvl.
THAT's something people are interested in, just as an example. Nobody cares if Cho-Ku-Nu's are rated a 5, or a 4, what people want to know is how to play and win a map, what tactics lead to better results, and up to which difficult lvl this is relevant!
Now please, think about that. And somebody plz explain the 1st sentence I quoted to me, I have to think I got that one wrong, because if I'm right, I'm gonna kill a kitten

. You don't want me to kill a kitten, don't you?
