Ok my pc is 1.5GHZ, 512MB DDR RAM, and I had a GeForce 3 MX 64MB video card. I had no problems installing, and the game DID play, but it was pretty choppy, and the cursor was hard to find sometimes.
Sprung for a GeForce 5500 or something (sorry, just not a video card gearhead), 256MB and, well, the game runs FLAWLESSLY.
It might be of note that I installed the directX 8 that came with the game and DID NOT install DX 9. I doubt I will anytime soon, since I've heard it may be causing some trouble.
I hope this information is helpful to those of you trying to figure out what all the troubles are.
