Name of the people as a collective

So what shall it be? Traditionally, the people are treated as one big legislature, and I think we should somehow keep that tradition.

I have previously proposed the following:

• Tribal Council
• Some derivation of "Thing" if we're the Vikings or maybe the Germans (e.g. Althing, Folketing)
• People's Assembly
• Tribal Assembly
• National Assembly
• Ekklesia (if we're the Greeks--name of the Athenian assembly)
• Plebean Assembly (if we're the Romans, though it could actually work for anything)

Well? I'm not going to make it a poll or initiative until I find consensus...

I think we ought to just call it the Assembly of the People. Also, and maybe this isn't the best thread for the post, but it seems to me if the Judiciary is established in the constitution, shouldn't the "people" be in there as well.

Yes they do. Most of them were forcibly created by the Federal governments of the US and Canada around 1910.

The People's Assemblyor "The People" sounds good to me. Tribal Council would represent the "Leaders" or "Officials", so it would NOT be a good choice.

Maybe to make it more realistic, the leader can make the name whatever they want. Then when we change governments, we can get a new name. Ie, Russia, USSR, Russia

Thaty's a really interesting idea. Perhaps a name for us as a people could be constant while the name of the country coul-d change as leadership, or civics, changes. Or perhaps as a way to rp different regions could be of a different nationality. hmmm
