I know my chances here are slim to none but I'll play it out for a few more moves, until things are truely hopeless.

I understand you continue play until there are really no chances any more. I would do the same.
 
I don't think there's much I can do at this point, I always like to play a few more moves after a blunder but its pretty clear you're a good player and my options are becoming more and more limited so I think I will respectfully resign.
