Will they FINALLY be placed in? I have always been an advocate that USA needs a homeland opponent to attempt to NOT let them cross the mississippi.

Zulu would also be fun to play, but i can see that if Mali and ethopia fall, you should have no opposition - is this imbalance why Zulu isn't in? Why isn't native america?

The Ikhanda would be overpowering militarily. No wonder Shaka's favorite civic is police state. -70% maintenance if you build an ikhanda and a courthouse! And I would love to wield some superpromoted Impi (upgraded to pikemen with mobility) across Africa and spilling into Asia against those Arabian camel archers and Persian puny Immortals...!

Dog soldiers (100% bonus against melee) and totem pole-promoted crossbowmen would wipe out the Aztecs and Incans any day.

No, that's too much for the finely balanced world of Rhye.

not to mention the game would be even slower.....

I think it would be a great idea, in fact I really hope Rhye addes in new civs. But if I had to pick one I would choose the Zulus because south africa is always so empty, the euro civs need a challenge or two in Africa:)

I hope all the left out civs will be eventually added, to both RFC and RFC Random. Rhye even said he might do this as an add-on once all the patching is done. Of course I'd put it as a custom scenario option if it were to be implemented, this would help solve the balance issues.

can i at least ask why? i won't bother challenging all my reasons why the native americans belong in RFC.

Im still really looking forward to it and i can not wait for it to come out.

there were reasons for leaving them out of normal RFC. Those reasons don't apply to RFC RAND in a few cases (the civs that were too small to be represented, such as Korea and Israel)
But RFC RAND is based on RFC, and it would be a lot of work for me to dismantle the whole system for adding some new civs.
So, for now it's "vanilla", later I'll see if I have time to add something to it.

apart from what Rhyes said /\ I really don't see any problem in the number of civs... I think all the civs from the normal game should be in RAND ( Even the Holy Roman Empire! ).

If this could be done it would be awesome!

P.S.-Holy Rome and Byzantines are awesome!

How can you be the byzintines?

Oh and I think the Phonecians should be inputed in if Rhye ever addes in new Civs, since they really did settle a lot of the Meditrenean.

you really can't, there is a guide on how to make them usable, but they have no power or UHV. same with independant and native leaders.

Au Contraire, it's possible if you code there UHV's into the python and change and recompile a little bit of the DLL. Rhye could do this he just doesn't want to and I don't have the time or knowledge though I tried.

Phoenicians are pretty much Carthaginians just like Sumerians and/or Assyrians are the Babylonians. The only ancient civ I'd add are Hittites.

Its the other way around the Carthage was a colony of the Phonecians. Also the Phonecians were the first people to settle many cities which most of them are still around today.:king:

Yes yes, but in the game the Phoenicians are represented by the Carthaginian Civ :)

exactly, if you think that they have to found coastal cities on the Med. and conquer Phoenicia, plus the circumnavigation goal (Phoenicians were the first mediterranean civ to circumnavigate Africa) ... I'd say they are more Phoenicians victory goals than Carthaginians actually ;)

Does this means that you may make a Israel\Korea modcomp for RFC RAND?
