Natural Wonders look awesome.

In fact they do give an economic benefit. All natural wonders seem to give 2 production and 3 gold per turn.

Like this example for Mount Everest:

Very cool. :)

A little thought: Is having Krakatoa within your borders really a good idea? It should explode in the 1880's...

It beats having Santorini within your borders, although then at least you won't have to play through most of the game before hitting the restart button.

Hah, yeah. Perhaps Santorini could be a city-state that just disappears (and donates all its great people to Egypt ).

I'm totally spacing out on this; did Alpha Centauri's "natural wonders" (don't remember what they were called) give special production bonuses or were they just kind of there?

of course they did. I've forgotten most of the names, but Freshwater Sea had a food bonus, there was a huge crater that gave an energy bonus, and Mount Planet had a production bonus. There were others too, but it's been a while...

Uranium Flats give energy bonus, Geothermal Shallows (water) give energy bonus, Borehole Clusters and 3 boreholes together, The Ruins are 8 Obelisk in a 3x3 formation, Fossil Range (water) give mineral bonus, Sargasso Sea (water) are just a big patch of sea fungus, Sunny Mesa, Tropical Forest... SMAC natural wonders rocks! ciV natural wonders are awesome!

Indeed, indeed. What a game that was... A SMAC II would be wonderful :king:
