Need help with the Test of time!

Hi!
A couple of weeks ago I succesfully installed Test of time on my computer, and it has worked great until today. I´ve got windows 98. Today when I tryed to start a game, the program stop working at the beginning, and informed that SMEDS application error: "stack race not yet available in win32". And then it informs that computer has performed an illeagal operation and it will be shut down, and then it shuts down the program. What a heck does it mean? I haven´t done anything to my computer during this two weeks, and now the game won´t start at all! I tryed to reinstall the program, but it does the same thing again. Please, help me!!!

Hey Minna!

Sorry not to get back to you sooner. Here's the deal. Something may have been changed on your computer if you downloaded things like video or sound files off the net or perhaps you used a program that you haven't used for a while that makes bit changes or requires windows to respond in a certain way. Relax. These things happen and even if it didn't, it could also be that a file named "smedsnet.dll" is corrupt in the "microprose" folder under "program files."

I would recommend that you delete the microprose folder and then reload. Choose the standard or default reload and see if that works. You can also get tech support from Hasbro, there should be a site listed on the box. It really sounds to me like some kind of error or corrupt file on your computer. Also, check your CD and make sure that it isn't scratched. If it is scratched then you might need a replacement.
