Need some help with ZWK

I have just one problem that I cannot solve. Anyone who has tried out ZWK, please see if you can help.

The problem is to do with the AI building choices for units set to Air superiority.

The Axis AI builds both the ME109F and ME110C at the start. By the time the FW190D is discovered, the ME109 becomes obsolete but the AI keeps building the ME110.

The Allies AI doesn't like to build the P-38 or P-51 Mustang, even after the Spitfire MK1 is obsolete.

Can anyone tell me why?
 
I made quite an interesting discovery about the Allied Fighter problem. After monitoring the AI activities turn by turn for 25 turns, I finally realised that the Allied AI stops building fighters after the B-17 become available (and no not because they were supposed to fly missions unescourted). It is related to the Knight Slot phenomenon.

The B-17 is in the Knight slot because I never intended to have it in my original plans. According to what has been established about the Knight Slot, units weaker than the Knight will become obsolete and drop of the production menu as soon as the Knight becomes available.

What caught me off guard was that in this case (air domain causing the discrepency?) the AI stops producing the 'inferior' units of the same domain but they stay on the production menu. To complicate matters, the 'inferior' units that ignored were of a different role (air superiority and not attack like the B-17).

Anyway, I plan to swap the early Soviet fighter to the B-17 slot. It is the weakest aircraft and therefore shouldn't prevent any other unit from being built.

Keep everyone posted as to how it works out.
