Need some ideas for a 2nd UU

Take your pick, there's tons of art I've done specifically for the MechaMod, but which hasn't been released elsewhere. I've updated some original MechaUnits1 units, made some Hazmat Infantry, some marineworkers (as opposed to workermarines), I've updated some of my Special Forces to be lower poly (specifically the Asian and European ones, as they are NOT phungus420 approved), as well as some other units I'm making for the UUs here.

I think the faster worker is a bit too much like... the Fast Worker.

As for new improvements, that may be a bit unbalanced.

How about a better settler, to make bigger cities. I'm thinking that Babylon was a big, developed place but without much of an army

Looking around, I found this thread.

The description of the 'sapper' (way down the page) looks most interesting in my opinion. A Babylonian axeman bypassing walls perhaps?

Alright! I'll examine that thread and find a suitable 2nd uu.

I still need Austria though.

Its difficult to say for Austria. Do you want a different era represented or does it matter? If it doesn't matter I'd go with a Grenadier replacement, that way they'd be formidible in the industrial era (as in reality).

Also is there anything new with the Francesca unit? I am putting the Franks in my mod (replacing the HRE) and I'd like to use that as their UU.

Era doesn't matter at all. Several civs have UUs in the same era.

All that matters is that its suitably unique, and has some ability I can do.

For example, England. I'll likely use my war prizes modcomp as a unique ability for the Man O' War, or give it a higher chance to capture, if I do incorporate it.

As for the Francesca, not much on that front, I have a unit, but i've never tested it.

Hmmm.... I'm dubious about the idea of an Austrian ship. Austria isn't even coastal anymore.

Scratch that mountain unit idea. I see you already use a rifle unit for the Austrians.

But for the Tehetthoff, it was the second dreadnaught class to wield triple gun turrets, and I think the first to use wireless radio (Marconi wireless) rooms and AA guns.

EDIT: btw, did you never take on my native horse archer idea in post 19?
EDIT2: okay, IIRC there's a Saab 35 Draken unit in the database. It was the first adequate tactical fighter aircraft the Austrian Air Force used after WWII. You could give it double movement to show it's ability to refuel/rearm in a short span of time. Or enhance its interception ability against other aircraft or bombers alone.

But it was costal for some time. Or are you only basing the civs on what they are now? 90 years without a coast is just a short snippet of Austria's history.

Although I guess ships arent very iconic when concerning Austria.

Well, that was ignorance on my part. For some reason, I always thought the Austrian Empire only had a short coastline (the Italian Territory), but I just saw a better map.

I'm still dubious about an Austrian ship UU, because as you say, they aren't very iconic with Austria, especially since the British had the best navy.

@GeoModder: I did, but I don't have a clue as to what to name it. I'm using the name "Raider", but I'm not sure if that's the best name.

As for the aircraft, still dubious.

Not sure what your other Sioux UU is but how about Brule Brave/Warrior/Raider. The Brule being a fairly badass tribe of Sioux. Or even Sunka Wakan raider. Sunka Wanka is one of the things they called horses. It literally translates to sacred or mysterious dog (yeah I know kinda strange).
