I guess I went over cap limit or territories, revolutions started everywhere even if I had the stronger
Hunnic Horde and was conquering city after city. I Resigned.
I was unable to get Influence back.
What kind of solutions? Liberate cities??

Wow, I am actually happy game has a mechanic to slow down overexpansion. Yes, liberation sounds like a solution. Or just ransack cities, nomads are not supposed to enjoy them anyway...

Ransack captured cities, this will also help you in your peace deals.

Ransack for gold and to claim as an outpost and connect to an existing city

Liberate if you want a supply of mercenary troops or want to capture the city later when you have a higher cap.

City cap is on the top right, 1 over is fine (only -10 influence and most cities will provide 10 inf very quickly).
