NES: Delusions of Grandeur

“Brazil wishes no more conflict. I shall withdraw all my troops from all fronts and battles, including the Californian front, as at the moment my army is already stretched to thin. I shall sign whatever peace is thought up” She looked to the Japanese ambassador.

“Sir” She said. “We have never had a direct conflict though we were I suppose on opposite sides of this all. I hope a Non Aggression pact can be signed between our two states”

"I am glad to hear that," Roosevelt said, talking to the Brazilian Empress.

"As for the French, do we have a deal?"

"And,"facing the Mexican, "Texas will not be invaded by America if independent. Why would we, it would just be bringing us back to this same position. We will agree to leave a ring of non-occupation along the border of Texas, to ensure to you that we mean no harm to the Texans."

The Natives Campaign rolled on, like a steamroller, unstoppable...

First the eastern coast had fallen, on the first month of the war.
Now they turned their attention to the west, where troops had not yet been re-supplied from england, and were ripe for the picking by the confident troopers from the inland domain. Their scouts had found that the british had built a fort in this month, protecting one port. The port was on a hill, surrounded by a river, it seemed almost impossible to get too without being the subject of extremely vicious fire from the fort.
They Called the Army commander, who immedietally sent a telagraph from a captured hut to the leader of the Domain.

"Bring forth the Weapon"

"But sir, think of what could happen, it's only in its testing stage!"

"IF you want to keep your job Framoja, I expect you obey me!!"

"Yes, sir... so the weapon... for sure?"

"YES FOOL" the leader barked

"I'll authorize its use immidietally"

The commander of the army then told the signaler, who pulled out a arrangement of flares, which he fired of in succesion, first blue, green, yellow and then three bursts of red.

Then the order was passed for all to move back, up to the crest of the hill.

A ship, painted black was sighted at sea, it moved, and turned to face the Fort. The British saw it, but all to late their cannons were turned to bear upon it. A burst of light came from the ship, blinding all momentarily, and then, a huge swell ing the water, and the sip moved away...

The water... was rushing away from land, to hundreds of meters away, but nobody knew what it meant, of course except for the aboriginals, as they watched from a point of vantage, and the Britished watched in a point of agony, scrambling to find a safge place to hold on to, a giant wave, hundreds of meters tall rose, gobbled up the british fort as it crested overtop the fort, with tons of water destroying all and sucking it all out too sea...

"It's even more powerful than I ever dreamed of..." The commander said, as a tear ran down his cheek in memory of all the British and other people down there, killed so suddenly... as none could have survived.
But the moment of sorrow quickly passed.

"THE FORT IS GONE, THE BRITISH ARE GONE FROM THE ISLAND... FOR GOOD! NEXT THE ISLAND TO THE PLACE WHERE THE SUN SETS SHALL FALL, AND THEN, THEN THE CREATOR WILL GUIDE US TO THE BIRTISH HOMELAND, WHERE WE SHALL MAKE WORLDS FALL!"

and so the army slpit up, combing the coast for any British for weeks, they found only few. Now, the Island was truly theirs!

How many people object to this story :]

I'm more concerned with the weapon, since it doesn't seem to fit the time period. If everyone decided to just creates weapons that could do that out of the blue, this NES would get boring fast.

The Michigamme Ambassador glanced around at the leaving dignitaries. "Well and good, Emperor. We might meet again, I think, in this same city." He smiled and left.

"Yes, we have a deal. I'll take what you offered, it's good enough for the French, and it's good enough for me."

The Japanese ambassador looked at the Brazilian Queen, "We would glady accept a NAP with your nation, Madame Queen."

Victoria nodded. “That is good. This whole War business has become boring very fast. There wasn't a single good party to go to while this whole unfortunate mess was-” Montgomerie hushed her, with a look of intense disapproval. The Empress, now much more sober said to the ambassador. “May we assume that this peace treaty may also consist of a NAP with Japan?”

The Chancellor spoke up. “Brazil is the greatest power in South America. Our sisters and brother in Argentina, Chile, etc., lack the power Brazil has to ward of Imperialists. Thus we will do it for them. This is as good a time as ever to announce the Orleans Doctrine.

“Brazil formally vows to protect the nations of South America from any further Colonialism. We do not object to current colonies, but fromm future colonialism we will protect these nations economically and militarily. On the eve of peace, I hope no other nations find this unsatisfactory?” The Chancellor looked around the room.

"Isn't that what we just said? *mumble* Westerner's confuse me...*mumble*....Of course madme Queen."

“Er... yes...” Victoria said. “Yes of course. Excuse me” She rose, and the Chancellor and Baron rose with her. “Then we shall take our leave. Good day” And with that the three left the room.

Transport ships were sighted off the coast of Washington. It was true America had sunk Brazil’s navy, but her merchant navy was still intact. The Brazilian troops outside of Washington gave a cheer! They were going home! Within hours, the troops were onboard the transport ships, and were set sail southward to their home.

Except for the Mexican-Japanese War. We haven't figured out a suitiable land division yet...

the reason i made the weapon, firstly panda isn't doing much so im in a bored little place, by the way I'm in australia... and its the domain of watpkura or sumthing :]

and about the weapon, its like, 1890s or sumthing... lemme see

It's unrealistic and too powerful. That and everyone would want one if it did exist.

Although I do need a war for stories...;)

To create a Tsunami now, one would need many tons of Nukes and a good spot to denoate them all.

haha okay fine, the weapon never existed.... only due to a heroic charge of the first brigade and the lack of a panda story the fort was still captured :]

L’eau De Ville- Brazil

The Marquise De Salle sat in his chambers in the palace. “So” He said in his heavy southern accent. “Montgomerie no longer controls the court?” “No” said a short native. His name was Lupus and he was the Marquis best spy.

“They say, within the year the Baron De St. Louis will control the Empress”. “Do they?” The Marquise asked. This power shift would be the first of such a kind since the death of the old Empress Cosette. It was not unwelcome in the Marquise mind. The family De Salle was one of the richest in the southern provinces of the Empire, and the Marquise considered himself a potential consort to Victoria. Yet Montgomerie hated the southern courtier, and wouldn't let him near the Empress.

“And who controls her at the moment if neither the Baron or the Chancellor do?” The Marquise inquired, insightfully.
“no one.”
“Well, if Montgomerie’s influence has truly waned, and the Barons hasn't yet grown strong enough, then perhaps I could take advantage of the situation?”
“euh.... Monsieur I do not know”
“hm. You have contacts within the household of the Empress, yes?”
“Yes Monsieur.”
“Then, you shall make sure I get some sort of Audience”
“Yes Monsieur” Lupus responded.
“You are dismissed” said the Marquise. The native vanished.

In the personal chambers of the Empress

Montgomerie and the Baron sat in the airy garden that opened into the Imperial drawing room. The Empress sat, in her kimono. She received no rebuff, a sure sign that Montgomerie’s influence on her was not as great as it had been at the height of the war.

“And what of the orleans doctrine? How is it received across the continent.” The Empress asked. “Well” The Baron said. “There are those who denounce it as Imperialism in itself. Yet we have made no move to annex any of the states of South America, or even set up a central federation, so they have nothing to complain about.. yet”

The Empress nodded. “And Monsieur Chancellor, are we going to annex any of the states of south America?” He nodded. “That is the eventual outcome. A South America dominated by Brazil politically, economically and militarily.” The Empress reviewed these facts. “And what of Africa?” Both the Baron and the Chancellor looked at her quizzically. “What does her majesty mean?” Montgomerie asked. “Well, there were rumors that you planed to colonize western Africa.” “Your Majesty” The baron said, shooting a stern look at the Chancellor. “I am sure if there was any validity to that rumor, you would of learned of it long ago” “Hmmmm” The Empress said disbelievingly.

Montgomerie and the Baron De St. Louis walked down one of the great open corridors of the palace. “She is becoming more difficult to handle” The chancellor mumbled. “Handle?” The baron asked incredulously. “You forget yourself Monsieur Chancellor. She is the Empress. She is not one, like some wanton, to be handled” Montgomerie glared at the man who, although a few months ago had been his closest ally, was now becoming a rival at court. I should of sent him off to the Caribbean before he could do any damage Montgomerie thought fiercely, as he parted ways with the Baron and walked to his own chambers.
