he can read it on the latest update. i told him of his relationship with Prussia, but thats all.

OOC: Is almost everyone anti-French or something?

While not making any definite statements just yet, the Ottoman government must mention that it regretfully disagrees with the Italian statement. The reason for this disagreement is that it is very, very hard for the Ottoman government to understand just how is a peace that involves signing away a state's own capital, amongst other things, in any way fair especially when following such barbaric, unprovoked attacks.

It occurs to the Ottoman government that accepting this treaty as it is would likely set a very, very dangerous precedent that may well have grievous consequences for the world at large.

Russia would like to know if the Ottomans are willing to end this war or not, we have not heard anything besides this from you.

give them a break, the are too busy packing and fleeing away from Istanbul! ;-)

(that was a OOC joke!)

Orders will come tomorrow, if that is acceptable

Likewise, if that is OK?

No, the Ottoman Empire is unwilling to accept the present peace terms; but it is open to negotiations if the opposing parties are.

Yes, we are.

OOC: aim chat?

Das doesn't have AIM, other than PM, his only form of communications is a soviet era satellite radio system.

So your best bet is to PM him

The Russian Empire would like to hear the Ottoman ambassador's counterproposal to our peace treaty.

Mostly, we refuse to abandon Constantinople, the Dardanelles and their vicinity; we are, however, willing to grant complete freedom of shipping in the Straits. We also request financial reparations and official apologies for the rather underhanded attack from France and Russia. Aside from that, the present treaty is acceptable.

Russia requests not only the freedom of shipping, but freedom of the passage of our navy. We assume what you mean by "the Dardanelles and their vicinity" as the lands we asked to be handed over to Russian authority, which on that hand we can agree.

Onto the matters of reparations, the Russian Empire is willing to to sacrifice 5pp to the Ottoman treasury with the inclusion of a formal apology.

Wait a second - central time? ok so 8 PM here. QUITE attainable, if I get a diplo response (or 3)

All of this is acceptable and we look forward to the restoration of normal diplomatic relations with the Russian Empire.

As a sidenote, however, we do refuse to turn over our lands in Arabia and would like to note that the Ottoman reign there was both wholly beneficial and conducted through local leaders; it would be entirely unfair to transfer Hejaz to the Wahhabite Arabs of the inlands and Hasa to the Republic of France, at least without the consent of the local population.
