Artifacts that aren't the same alignment as you will blast your character everytime you wield them, if the artifact is intelligent a cross-aligned character won't be able to even pick the item up.

Don't kick sinks or frolic with fountains... isn't that where nymphs come from?

Nymphs always steal a mirror before anything else if you have one too - you can get them from dead nymphs

Best to avoid them or throw rocks at them otherwise.

Ascended once, in the biggest cheesefest I could come up with

Knight abusing the quest level for an alignment change and trap scumming. Eye of the Aethiopica + double strength magic missiles? Pounding and jousting from the back of a ki-rin? Wielding an artifact in the main, lance in off hand for truly ridiculous melee performance (dual lances was arguably even better, but that's a lot of weight)? Even got some protection back.

I've been avoiding degenerate playstyles since then since I don't think I can top that... no luck so far.

Nymphs stealing mirrors, hmmm. I didn't think I had played this game but I do remember playing one where Nymphs stole mirrors and it was a long time ago so I probably just didn't recognise the game. Maybe I'll have to download this.
