Never before seen Civ 4 screenshoots

@Joethreeblah: The 4 coins are for taxes, the way I see it. Add to that 3 times +2 from trades. And an additonal 2 from resources.

Why are you looking for 31? The lefthandside list is production of culture, and effect on health (negative: forge and positive: aquaduct).

Commander,

I'm not sure, but I THINK that the worked spaces are producing gold coins, and not happiness... they look like the coin in the top left corner and it would make more sense I think.

@Javal - The cultural influence is for that city alone I believe

Money = happiness

These screens are great. I now have no more doubts about the graphics.

The fact that all religions are displayed on the city screen (albeit greyed out) implies to me that you can have more than one active in a city. Only Taoism (Yin-Yang symbol) is enabled/highlighted for this city, but from a UI design standpoint it makes more sense to show only one religious icon if only one can be active. Just my interpretation which could very well be wrong :) Just trying to figure out why they'd show all the icons, if only one icon can ever be enabled/highlighted at a time.

The top left corner says that 90% of the money is going toward science, and 10% to cash, 27+4

Does the defense or 80% in the left hand corner mean the bonus inside the city?
Yeah, I think so.

If I recall correctly, the amount of defense you get from defending inside the city is based on a whole lot of factors. Size of the city, defensive buildings, cultural strength of the city, if the city is encircled by the borders of another nation there is a penalty, etc.

Ah ha, OK, I think those numbers are for your total civ, just like it currently is. The same numbers are in the other screen.
edit: No, you're correct, it isn't. The culture in the list adds up to the total mentioned.

Sir, just underneath that.
Edit: 18 gpt for the entire civ, but only 4 cash from this city, with 27 allocated to beakers. thats where i was trying to find 31 coin income in this picture

Maybe the income from Murcia, Timbuktu and Djenne are from temples outside you empire and this is the holy city?

You might be right. and welcome to the club. Why is murcia in red while the other cities at the top right are not. In rebellion?

I also can't fiqure out the 13 health. Best i can get is 7 (3 from the resources, 2 from aqueduct & 2 from food surplus. The other 6 must come from civic choices and leader traits.

The purple bar growing behind the influencial on the lower left side, I bet that is a city growth indicator (like 60% til it grows again).

Man! I WANT THIS GAME RIGHT NOW!!!

I think the yellow ones are mali cities and the red one is probably from another civ.

The men-in-grey on the right, what are they? Would they be the advisors? Why doesn't the second from the bottom have a plus-sign?
Great people, and the number below them is the great people points which create one of your choosing after you collect enough of them.

I think.

Thanks for the find!

Hatshepsut is hot! :crazyeye:

Looks like some of the screens are still not "finished" so to speak with still some placeholders. The city screen isn't the prettiest for one. But otherwise it looks sweet!

Yeah looked like beta tester screens/Player names.

His civ is called: ACER-857 A358DA

Would having so many of them be normal?

Maybe thats why they are greyed out. He doesnt have any, but if he did, they would light up, maybe?

You're the exact sort they have to "dumb things down" for I guess. Thanks a lot for the comment. Now please move on.

There are 5 different kinds of great people, but 6 faces. But then again, one of them does not have a "+"-sign after it.
