New FF City Improvement: Blitzball Court

And here we have Spira's favorite sport, blitzball. I figured the effects would be something like reduces the number of unhappy citizens by 2 or 3, butrequires a coastal city and rubber (to make the balls, of course )

Or, if you want, it could be used as a fantasy/hi-tech battle arena

Blitzball is the #1 sport of Spira, the planet that everyone lives on in Final Fantasy X and X-2. As a matter of fact, two of the main charachters in FFX are pro Blitzball players: Tidus, who played for the Zanarkand Abes (until he got mysteriously transported 1000 years into the future), and Wakka, who is the captain of a small team called the Besaid Aurochs. Wakka also uses the blitzball (the bldg_large and bldg_small images are of a typical blitzball) as a lethal weapon I'n the game I was playing, Wakka was doing over 3000 hp of damage per attack (talk about dangerous sports equipment)

But basically, the games were a major cultural event for the people of Spira, and allowed them to enjoy themselves once in a while, despite the ever looming possibilities of renewed attacks by Sin (a really BIG fugly monster that would eat Godzilla for lunch).

Edit: Oh, and I forgot to mention, blitzball is played under water. The blue sphere in the middle of the arena is a sphere of water held by a force field (the two crossed arches over the sphere generate the force field). To quote one of the blitzball players in FFX, "Good blitzball players can their breath for hours, and the best are even said to be able to sleep under water..."
