New Let's Plays

What I find interesting is that this newly revealed "friendly alien" state may imply that the aliens are more likely to interfere with hostile attempts to enter your territory, since they associate your territory with their nesting grounds. We just don't know if that is the case, though.
You and your wishful thinking. It may imply whatever you choose to imagine.

I would think there would have to be significant limitations on how local aggression affects everyone else; otherwise, maintaining good relations with the aliens would be next to impossible.
All a question of number balancing. ;)

Maybe nests work like city states? so each nest and the aliens that belong to it would have their own relation to you?
This would mean another faction killing the aliens in your vicinity is bad, but it doesn't matter if someone kills them on the other side of the map.

Hey dude, don't walk into my daydreams and pop my thought balloon, that's just rude.

Pretty sure that in all discussions/VODs so far, all aliens have the same colour indicator regardless of what nest they're from. Not sure they are even uniquely connected to a nest.

In solargamer's first video he moves to a different continent and the aliens are yellow while being red on his continent. But that's the only evidence I've seen.

Please reduce the size of building icons on the left ribbon in city management

Looking at Madjinn stream I find it strange that the buildings icons on the left side are so big and multiple scrolling down are required to see what you have built there. Something more on the size of what is on the right side would be a lot better.

Will they stop excerting zone of control, blocking movement through them and preventing citizens from working tiles they stand on? Will siege worms stop destroying improvements? Because if thats not the case, then the possible benefits of having natives roam around your territory, will never match up to the downsides, no matter how cool blue native unit symbols sound.

Also, ironically harmony would be the most penalized by leaving nests in their territory untouched, because the benefit most from harvesting xenomass. So they might be the faction where good relations with the natives comes with the highest opportunity cost. Kinda strange. They should at least extend the harmony 1 bonus all the way up to friendly (maybe on a higher harmony level). One could make nests act as xenomass wells (leaf tech to alien sciences perhaps?).

I assume that since the attitude rating affects all alien units, that would include siege worms, and they would not attack your explorers or improvements. This could be pretty helpful.

Also, it will be nice to not have to worry about them destroying trade vehicles. Then you could take the ignore-miasma quest on the trade depot, and you would be able to trade with anything on the continent without disruption.

The Trade Depot quest offers a choice between +1 energy or +1 production. The Ultrasonic Fence offers a choice between +1 fence range or trade unit immunity to aliens. I don't know of any ignore-miasma quest choice.

Will and David talked about it some in the fourth yogscast video. I don't recall what building the quest was on, or if it was even said.
