New Let's Plays

EDIT: Fair warning - don't expect high-level strategy.;)

Yeah after that mess with workers and horrible building choices it was clear that this guy doesnt know what he is doing. He is horrible, but he is no total disaster. :trophy3rd:

From Rhykker's video - Second Outpost build in T86, completed in T94. It started with 2 tiles since a tile were already claimed by capital, which sped up the growth.

He also had Kavithan Civ bonus +50% and Bonus from Prosperity +30%. On the other hand didnt get +20% from being healthy.

Watched some of the three hour video on my lunch break, also vahouth1978 was kind enough to get us some screenshots:

The guy in the PC Gamer video was saying how with the tech web it would be harder to figure out which techs would be useful for military due to their utilitarian names and how this may confuse new players. I spent the entire time he was going on about that pointing at the Military Advisor recommends tag on one of the technologies.

The icon for the third item (a wonder) under Nanotechnology has changed:

It's now in the same style as the Transcendental Equation project, and it pretty closely resembles the Emancipation/Exodus warp gate. So it appears that the Purity and Supremacy victories will require this technology in addition to affinity level 13.

The worker AI seems to spam generators when automated, making 0 farms for growth, I hope it won't affect the AI civs too much. Worrisome.

Gold/energy can be a powerful tool as well, when properly spent. If they programmed a better function for the AI's use of energy then the harder difficulties may very well be more difficult than Civ V's deity level.

While energy can be good, if you don't have population to use it I doubt it's going to be a useful strat :)

We'll see I'm just raising concerns.

Edit: But I guess they answered these concerns in today stream by showing that all improvement can be improved.

Gamecrate: Health is like Happiness in Civ5 - you know where you'd build an Aqueduct if you were unhappy /facepalm.

But apart from that, it's a good walkthrough (EDIT: Forget that - very basic. The PCGamer one was much better).

I'm a bit disappointed with how little the leader's appearance changes with different affinities. Seems to be more of a change of colors.

To be fair, those changes happen to the first 5 levels.
Daoming is level 8 I think.

A tool tip for Nanotech said that it enabled the Exodus gate.. but no mention of the Emancipation gate... its possible they are in two different spots
