new objects won't show up in unit model

i tried glueing wings from a helmet in one unit onto another unit, but they won't show up in the game. i'm pretty sure i read every tutorial, but i can't seem to figure this one out. any ideas?

UPDATE:
Never mind. Apparently, removing the FX nif seemed to work.
