You should probally let everyone know which game it is you want to play. Also dont forget to check the needed players thread. Sometimes it is easy to get started in PBEMing by taking over for someone in an existing game.

i will take a random medium map! with random civs or?

Ah, a generic PBEM game... not a scenario, eh?

Be sure to work out the house rules before you start then.

Is bribing allowed? Units but not cities?
Can you contact each other's AI or is that not allowed?
Nukes allowed?
4 human players, any AI players?

Things like that.....

Listen smile, when creating a PBEM, don't start a thread saying, who wants to play a pbem without telling what scenario or what the game is.
Just make a thread like "Generic Civ2 PBEM" tell everyone the requirements and then let people come to join.

here's another tip from me, i used to play lots of live MP games and well nukes were useful in the game. No one in the game wanted a nuclear war, so they were a very good deterrant Personally i'd prefer a game with nukes
