New Scenario requires playtesting . . .

Eight turns I believe. That's why I don't think restarting would be such a big deal. There's been a lot of diplomacy work here, but only eight turns of gameplay...

Hello everybody.
Cheating is probably one of the most dishonest things to do in life. And probably one of the most unforgivable thing to do. Not only to myself, but primaraly to the ones affected by it. There are no words for how sorry I am. There are no words for how much I regret all this. Can't belive I did it, but when you have first done it, it is so easy to continue that way. My ships have moved way to long for some turns now. My cannons fired with one extra attack. Wich made it possible to capture Bankok. I will post a save where Copenhagen is still German, Bankok is still Barbarian, as well as Mandalay. And Makassar finally in American hands. The French army and navy are stripped. You can descide if you want to continue. If you choose to continue it is Frances turn.

The other cities was taken with Field Artillery. Did not tuch the rate of that one.

I will now silently go away - and never show my face here again. My conscience is eating me up. I am so sorry for ruining your game.

Well, I don't know what to say really. Pretty much I'm not very mad, just glad it's sorted out. Even if you cheated had fun playing with you, and I hope you did too. Anyway, see ya around. :king:

As for a restart, I'll go with whatever you guys want.

Just FYI,

The 'clean' turn that was posted by Eivind IV looks like it can be played from. It does look to penalize whomever takes over the French player though as it has been stripped of production in all cities. Plus, Barcelona, Madrid and a few others are still captured, but I'm not sure how big of an effect that has on the game.

Maybe the two factors offset each other enough?

Well, i´d like to take control of France.
Could I??? I really like this scenario :goodjob:

You bet, man! :goodjob: I wondered why you werent here at first...

At the time this PBEM began i hadn´t played the scenario. Moreover, the thread doesn´t say "Imperialism 1870 PBEM". So, i just didn´t pay attention to it.

Well in fact this started before its release, but I thought you would have been interested in a playtest.

Doesn´t matter. i´ll command France to a new, golden age of worldwide onquests and amazing wealth.

Well, where do you stand Academia, restart or continue? We might end up having a vote or something. ;)

Personally, i´m the new guy here. You should make that decision; there's been a lot of diplomacy work here. I feel that it´s up to you guys.

But it's your country that would be affected the most.

BTW, Academia we're using a pre-release version of this scenario which differs from the released version...

Oops! Where can I download it?

Sent to academia2002@hotmail.com. :)

Thought I'd mention another rationale for restarting would be to test the released version. I know that the final version isn't very different from this playtest one, but this still seems kinda frivolous to be doing a "playtest" on an obsolete version when we now have an opportunity to use the new one. :groucho:

True, but I don't want to play through the first 8 turns again :(

All right, all right already. *gives up* :(

It´s good to hear that it wasn´t all my stupidness that made me loose this war...:D
