new small bugs

here are some bug I encountered playing CiVuP .13:

(-most of the tooltips are incomplete)
-faith multiplier wonders don't work (Sistine, Hermitage)
-land units have a ZOC on sea units
-biggest one: some enemy units are invisible, and when I attack them, I can see them 3-4 tiles away
- city local happiness not visible in the empire happiness details
- after making peace with a CS, sometimes I begin at -59 (angry), sometimes I come back at the previous level (neutral or friends). I don't know how it's supposed to work;
- Great Prophet automatically bought while I checked "remind me later" in the religion panel
- "supply" promotino for the naval units says "+1 move and heals out of...", the '+1 move' is incorrect

if they are already reported, sorry.
 
- promotion icons on ships are wrong (accuracy icon instead of boarding party)
- tooltips in the city-screen when you hover on science, gold and cuture say:
"+25 railroad" (while railroad doesn't change culture, gold and science) ("%" missing)
- no steam medals ?

  • The Sistine Chapel and Hermitage should affect culture, not faith.
  • I think sea units have always been affected by land zoc.
  • I don't understand this part.
  • What do you mean by "local happiness"?
  • Not sure about that.
  • I haven't changed anything with religion yet.

-Sistine, Hermitage: the tooltip was "+50% faith AND +50% culture". Just related to the tooltips bug
-you must be right about land ZOC on sea, my mistake
-local happiness is happiness limited by population (circus, coliseum, theatre,...)
-relationship with CS after making peace is a bug not related with CiVuP, I've had the same problem playing G&K ith no mods. A bit game-breaking.
-the one u didn't understand: some enemy units are not visible on the map, the tile seems free BUT when I want to move my unit in this tile, I attack the invisible unit and then the graphic fight makes my unit attack an enemy unit which is graphically in another tile,... But this isn't related to Civup neither, I just saw that again in a game without mods.

short version: it's a G&K graphic bug
-food not received from maritime CS: G&K bug.

Sorry I mixed all the bugs here, I'll try to only post the bugs related to CiVuP in the future.

I had the same bug today for the first time ever i played Civ 5, looks strange! :crazyeye:

The unit was shown as there in the tooltip but the grafic for the unit was 3 hexes away, also my attacks was going against the grafic hex 3 tiles away but after i killed the unit with melee my warrior advanced in the correct hex, so it seems to be a grafic only bug.
 
ok, so here are another few G&K bugs, playing without any mods (I want my Emperor achievement haha ;)

-very weird: my units disappear into the fog of war... that happened with landship and riflemen into the Aztecs territory, always in the same tiles. I can see the circle around the unit, I can select and move it, but I have no SoV (sight of view?), the unit is invisible, and the tile is foggy....
-it only costed me 10 gold, yes, Ten, to upgrade my inf. to Mechanized Infantry... I hope this is a bug.
-after I upgrade my Sea Beagger (Holland UU) into a Destroyer, my other destroyers were receiving the Party Boarding and Coastal Riders promotions, instead of Targeting and Bombarding
-I think that enemy destroyers don't see my sub-marines, I got several times a sub staying 3 tiles away from an enemy destroyer, and it never attacked me. Only attacked me when it was adjacent to my sub
-when I press "Ins" key, the game goes to city screen AND take a picture at the same time (take the pic of the city screen, not the actual screenshot I wanted to)
-question: Helicopter gunships never suffering about ZOC?

Playing VEM (v161), no G&K. Don't know if this counts as a bug, or if it's a known issue, but for me in the tech planner the mouseovers for buildings and wonders don't work right (show effects but not the names of the items). Also it seems similarly with buildings in the City Window.

(Also am not playing G&K, which that post refers to. Does seem like a similar bug though...)

file: ToolTipInclude.lua
MODS\civ V unofficial patch\modtools\autotips

change "if MapModData.Fields.Buildings == nil then"
by "if true then"

this is for the GK version with only civup.13, but could work for you too
 
Do we have confirmation from Thal that this in fact fixes this bug?

Also if we change this will future versions of the mod replace that file... or once it gets working will our fix break the fix?

This fixes some things but there are still lots of bits missing from tool tips? Mainly what most of the Wonders actually do?

I think it should work, and included it in the latest update.

I'll investigate the tooltip problems you reported once I have some free time. Thanks for bringing it up!
 
hi all

It seems like i have a "problem" with my Janissary (ottoman UU)
they are supposed to have a +50 hp bonus when they kill an enemy unit, but my bonus have no limit.. I've had some +98hp after killing an enemy! way to powerfull :/

I found the Fountain of Youth..which give the promotion 'heals at double rate' but my janissaries who don't have that prom (you have to pass in an adjacent hex of the fountain to get it) also heal at 50++ hp

too easy.. but as it's my first Huge-Emperor game, it's a nice help :D

GK 1...705

ground unit unable to attack adjacent enemy from city if there is a naval unit in the city
I had one landship and one ironclad stacked in my city
my landship was unable to attack an enemy adjacent to that city unless I move the ironclad out of the city...
the city was surrounded by enemies

AI bombards 0hp city instead of bombarding units
it was a rocket artillery, and I had plenty of units it could have attack instead

bombers attack animation
it sometimes play the attack animation like 6-7 times, annoying
often plays it two times, intended? annoying as well

once again, GK bugs, without any mods, but as you are the best Thal, I also post here :D
