New Tech message instantly closes

With the "Minimize AI turn times" BUG option turned on, most of the time (but not always for some reason) the "New Technology" window instantly closes without any interaction. I also observed it happening with the "top list" window that pops up once every while.
Happens with the most recent SVN version (also happened before). I play Pre-Columbian GEM on Marathon. I also play windowed mode if that matters.

It's a known problem. I haven't managed to pin it down yet.

Thanks for letting me know. One question, does windowed mode have anything to do with that or does this generally happen with the speedup option?

Nothing to do with viewports. It's a bug in the auto-end-no-action-turns option (or possibly the minimize AI turn times one, but I think the former).

I don't have the "Auto end turn on no action" option active, but I had the minimize AI turn times option active. After I deactivated that the tech window never closed itself again so far.

Also this issue definitely was there before viewports were in (I was refering to windowed mode in contrast to fullscreen mode, the video option) so I agree that those are not responsible
