Actually I am not sure what to do with the civ color. Maybe put an outline around the circles w/ crosses on the wings?

Why not just have it as a generic triplane, with the red being the civ colour (so it could change to green, blue, etc.)?

Thanks a good idea! However, what about Germany? Unless it's specifically changed for a mod, Germany is usually a light blue color. The triplane would then be blue for Germany. I think it would look better if Germany had a Red Triplane. This unit was originally designed to be a unique unit for Germany: Where all other civs would use a biplane, Germany gets the triplane. Of course, ultimately, it's all up to the mod creator how it is used.

Hey, what if I made the band around the propellor civ-colored. And that was all that was civ-colored? Would that be good?

Maybe make the the black circles around the crosses civ color as well. It will be hard to distinguish the corss for lighter colored civs but, personally I always set germany to use gray or black.

I have a suggestion about civ colors. Why don't you paint the ENTIRE plane with civ-colours?remember that Manfred von Richthofen painted himself his own plane with red color. Another pilots painted his planes with a lot of different colours (Ernst udet with red & white, Lothar von Richthofen with yellow & red, Werner Voss with green & red....etc. Another pilot who I don't remember his name painted his Fokker Dr1 with black colour).
And all the Fokker Dr1. were painted with olive drab colour from the manufacturing plant, so...why not to paint the plane with Civcolours, and have our own "Flying Circus"*??

*The name of "Flying Circus" was named for the Jasta 11 (the red Baron's squadron) because all the planes were painted in different colours
