New Unit: Egyptian IS3M

Utah im currious, what do you use the T55 for in your game? I noticed you have the T55 and T90.

I use the T55 as a flavor unit, replacing the tank for Russia--the T90 replaces Modern Armor. That's it. That's really all I use any units for: flavor. Except that I used Kinboat's excellent crusader unit as Poland's unique unit. Actually, I'm thinking about replacing the T55 with the Russian WWII tank provided with PTW; although, I think the WWII units shipped with PTW are not up to par with the original units.

By the way, good luck with your tank. I saw the preview thread. I just have no idea what that tank looks like in reality, so I can't really help you there.

In my mod, I will use the T34 as Russian flavor unit for tank, and the T90 for modern armor.
The T55 will be for Russian equiped armies (Irak for instance), ad a flavor for modern armor.

That's a good idea. For me though, the T55 just looks too Russian to be used for another civilization. It looks like it should be on parade in Moscow, or any other equally Russian city.

Hey, has anyone actually used this unit in a game? I was just wondering what y'all thought about it outside of "FLICster, the program we all know and love"--yes, I plan on always referring to that program as such. Well, let me know if anyone has. People, please . . .

Except T55 have been sold to a lot of countries, but I think the Russian have kept T90 for them.

I don't doubt that you're right. I, personally, just prefer to keep the T55 as a tank to give a little "Russian flavor" to the game; I'm not really looking for strict historical accuracy. Thanks for the information though.

I have this little scenario called "unit testing" i test all my unts there before using them in a game and it works fine.

Okay, super. Thanks for letting me know. Yoda Power, you're always good about giving people feedback; that's cool.

Well, first thank you for the compliment on how my tank looks with all the other modern armors. Now about the quotes . . . I too struggled with this issue for a while, seriously. Then I noticed something in the right-hand corner above each post. There's a button that says "quote," or something like that. Just click on it. Between you and me and everyone who reads this, I felt a little silly after "discovering" the button.

No, I was not being sarcastic when I said it took me a long time to figure out how to quote. I just was too embarassed to ask anyone how.
