But would they be enough to defeat the almighty IRON chariots?

(God had some trouble defeating chariots made of iron. It's in the Bible, really. Somewhere near the back)

Well, angels are not god, and actually I believe he drowned chariots. Maybe the angels can't handle chariots, so he took care of them himself.
