New Version – 5.0-alpha.03

I think, in the capital yields, gold section, its hidden under "buildings gold", just do load/save and see how much its increased.
I remember i was able to make a sense of that long time ago :) But this is new implementation, so bug is not impossible.
Indeed you are right, when I perform a diplomatic mission the Parthenon shows +4, but gold from buildings shows +2. Not entirely sure what that means, though. After reloading it still says 72.50 and 66.

I'm still getting texture errors, but if I power through all of them, it eventually passes and gets me to the map

Will the feature where we get to see the path a unit will take after it's been instructed to move return?
That was sort of bad since units would go a different way a lot of times because "not enough moves yay its better to go in the opposite direction on to a flat tile right infront of the enemy units" instead of actually going the path it indicated.

@burticus
That error suggests you havent got one of the DLC. You need them all for the art assets to be usable.
If you have them bought then try verifying game integrity.
For the crash, please open a ticket on github, this thread wont get checked for that.

Not sure what I'm missing, 4.x didn't complain about DLC. I have BNW + G&K, and most civs. Admittedly I don't have a couple of the scenario/map packs or some off brand civs like Korea I don't care about.

The AI improvements seem to be working well. Has anyone else noticed AIs doing warfare much better in 5.0.03 compared to previous versions? I'm a prince/king level player and I'll admit to struggling in 5.0.03.

Fixed, but next time please report on GitHub.

EDIT: It's a purely UI issue.

Hello, hello. Another question about sql files, I can't exactly remember the name but I think it was (GameSpeedChanges)? That I used to tweak for tech/research cost depending on game speed, I can't find it anymore, or I think I saw one that was blank. Which file in override do I need to edit?

Also some feedback for AI combat, maybe have them prioritize civilian units less? (for city attacks) I noticed I could cheese during early game because AI prefers to attack undefended units so I could have missionaries park in range of enemy cities and they'll ignore my catapults firing on them.

You need all DLC. DLC04 is apparently Denmark.

Yes it should be significantly better. Also the AI should be more sensible about scouting units, which matters a lot at the start of the game. There was also an effect where AI cities wouldn't work non-food tiles for a while. Overall they should get off to a much punchier start.

Those numbers make sense, means you get 6.5 gold from plain buildings, 3 from market, and im guessing some from Caravansary per desert tile. If on some point, in one place
these numbers were twice as they shuold the numbers would be closer to 66 // 139 or 30 // 66 respectively.
If you really want to make even precise investigation, after you click retire, you have a whole log, in game log has few turns history, but after you click retire, you se every turn..
Thou im not sure "sending envoy" is important enought to be logged there, but worth checking.

AI much better at war per version 5.03. They save units much better and rarely leave a worker vulnerable.

Also there is more UI issues for me specifically wonders and religion building have no description.

Hi,
fresh install and I have such errors when entering main menu:
1761894470070.png

Game itself seems fine.
Also when a leader wants to speak with me (like if I want to attack him, because my army is close to his borders), there are no dialog options. Have to exit it by ESC.

How can it be resolved?

I've extracted Mod_VP_EUI_5.0-alpha.03.zip, UI_bc1.zip and VPUI.zip after deleting cache.

Hmm, that sounds like an issue with the base game, LegalScreen is something we never modified. Did you verify file integrity on Steam? Does the game work correctly when you play without mods?

Also, I got a CTD when trying to negotiate sthg for declaring war on a player (with report screen etc.), but was not able to reproduce it after activating the logs. Should I still report it ?
Do you remember what the error message in the report screen was?

I haven't played without VP for a loooong time :D no point really. The last working version for me was 2UC.

3 files didn't pass the verification, but it didn't say which ones. Should I do a fresh install of Civ5?

I'll need that too so I can modify tech speed to 900% on marathon making ultra mega maxi marathon.
