It's known, it has something to do with how modpacks are made, they don't like empty strings.
This is because we now have code that automatically generates HELP tooltips, so we don't generally need the old text, so it has been wiped. But then this issue arises, so we need to sort that out.
Don't worry, MPMPM will be merged into VP soon™.
 
can someone help seeing double, cleared cache, old 4uc mod is off, moved some mods from the zip to mod folder because cant activate some mods.

You can't use the Alpha build with mods. Put the Mod_VP_43Civ_EUI_5.0-alpha.03, UI_bc1 and VPUI folders into the game's Assets\DLC folder, clear the cache and start a single player game from the main menu (do not use the mods menu).

You need to put the entire modpack folder ("Mod_…") into DLC, not the subfolders like Mods and Override.

Once correctly added like this, RAS works as classic mod from menu (as long as you emptied the mod folder of old VP stuff) probably since RAS mainly change things at game generation.
 
Has anyone gotten map scripts to work? I downloaded communitu_79 for vp and placed it in the assets/maps folder but it keeps creating single tile islands for my starting location
 
It's kind of weird, the loading of the research screen. If I click the little blue beaker (top left corner, on the top bar) the opening is basically as fast as ever. If I click the big blue beaker when I finish a science project in the right most icon bar of what happened since the last turn then it takes like 3-5 seconds (which might not sound much, but when you look at the screen that feels like an eternity). If I have the science thing showing in the top left corner with the name of the project and time and such and click the name, such as Fishing (25) or whatever it is I'm currently researching. Then it's also as snappy as ever. It's when I click the big blue beaker after a turn has processed that it's slow as crud.

Anyone with the same issue noticed the same or am I just imaging this? Is the research screen called in different way depending on where you click to bring it up?
 
You're not imagining it, there's something up with the rewritten tech tree code. The authorities are aware.
 
Found visual bug. When selecting bombs/planes on Carriers the carrier will turn into a plane in the water. When select the carrier itself it has it's normal model.
 
I have noticed missing icons on resource tiles. I'm used to not seeing all the city icons, but this was a first for me yesterday. I would have had no idea that tile had oil on it until my border expanded over it and I got the announcement.
 
You've been describing a lot of graphical problems, burticus. Not seeing icons (city and resource) is not normal. Have you downloaded all DLC and verified file integrity, now?
