New Video Card But computer restarting when start new game

Hello,

This is my first post here(hopefully the first of many when the program works). Before I had the standard windows video card of 32MB- rubbish I know which would just about let me play CivIV although it was really bad and slow and froze.
So then I got a new video card just now which is 128MB and it's all installed and it works. In CivIV I try and start a new game it goes through all the options right to the end then I click 'play game' and it restarts my computer. It's really frustrating and I don't know what could be causing it.

To make things even weirder, I have no problem with playing saved games.

Make sure you have loaded Patch V1.52.

If then still issues, could you please post your Dxdiag - someone can then pick you up from there

Start button - click - select run - type dxdiag - press enter - wait a min - select "save all information" - then post the file using the file upload via the 'go advanced' button below

I think it looks like you could do with upgrading your video drivers to start with, the latest are 81.98 for nvidia cards. Beyond that, I'm not sure what the problem is.

It works. Thanks so much. I thought that I had got the most updated drivers but obviously I was wrong.
