New Wonders Discussion Thread

magellans voyage IS in, and it is really more reasonable the way they put it in. The Globe theatre is also in (this time properly named [ =shakespeare's theatre was the globe]), even with the same effect and Leonardo's would need a good deal of balancing in civ4.
 
No it wouldn't. Overpowered? Perhaps, but there needs to be some things that allow for overpower in certain aspects of the game. But it is not "massively" overpowered. And any civ can build it so it's perfectly fair.

If the wonder came early, then spreading religion to every city instantly would give you a huge advantage. Added the fact that you would then probably go for a Great Prophet to get the shrine (assuming that you founded that religion) then you would suddenly be at a massive advantage.

If then wonder came mid to late game however, then the wonder would be of little purpose. At this stage of the game, you are likely to have spread your religion to all your cities, or most of them already, completley removing the point of the wonder. Either way you look at it, this bonus isn't going to be a good one for the game.
