Yeah, you're right, the units would include both mortars and different kinds of support and different types of armaments in reality. A German infantry unit would then of course be realistically built up of riflemen, submachine gunners, Panzerfausts, heavy machine gunners etc...

Hvilken type spill er Sudden Strike? Spiller du Bf 1942? Det er også et meget realistisk spill, genialt som mulitplayer. Spillet er ikke helt nedlastet, men regner med at det er nede i løpet av kvelden. Dere må også prøve Hearts of Iron, 120% genialt!

A truely brilliant wargame - perfect in almost every aspect and challenging - especially in multiplayer.

Nope, I'm afraid I don't play any of those games, though I do think I've heard of Bf 1942 - isn't it a warplane simulator?

It's an awesome first-person shooter game focused on WWII's battlefields in 1942. You can play all major nations, play as a trooper, drive tanks, fly planes, command ships etc.

I presume you mean Sudden Strike - yeah it's the best WWII strategy game I've seen... We can play right away! Really, I suggest Friday...

So, it's been a while since I last posted. Guess I have been exhausted concerning new ideas, but I feel the inspiration slowly is comming back.

I have spend some spare time modelling some completely new units for the Germans. Any comments are as always more than welcome.

I guess my plan is to made each of the 5 major players have a common look about their units. Like all german armour is black/grey, US greenish while British is more in the orange/yellow color range, etc. This would make the units look more coherent and stand out from each other on the battlefield together with their seperate flags. It's a bit tough surfing on the net for the right pictures, but I hope the result will be pleasing in the end.

Cimbri, yeah I have some questions: As far as i remember Pehota is airborne troops in Russian Right? Koveya is that the description of ordinary troops?
About Japan, the word Hohei does that fit to ordinary troops?

Hope I will be able to create only 120% crisp units in the end Insurgent so that you will join the dark side also.

Well, since you use that Hi-res style, why don't you just use Sudden Strike screenshots throughout the units file? I mean, since your infantry is already made that way - you could get armour in all the different types too. And there are different color schemes for each civ in that game. If the demo is not comprehensive enough for that - just aske me, I have several versions of the full game incl. the sequel... I'll make the screenshots for you - even though that brings me dangerously close to the Dark Side!

Simple reason Eivind, it's almost just the Germans besides of maybe USA who took color pictures during the war, and I wanted the pictures in color.

Yes I have them from Suden Strike Insurgent, and I plan to get the game (2) this week. I guess I have settled for uniformed infantry units, because filling the slot with different positions and weapons looked disturbing.

Hi all,

I expect that the scenario will be finished here in May. Gee, if I had known how much work this scenario has demanded, I would have settled for a much smaller on as a starter. But, here at the end I think the final result is ok, and when it's out, I hope some of you get inspired by playing it.
