Newbie Question Regarding Mods

Hi all,

I looked everywhere for an answer before starting a thread for it. I'm trying to play some mods of the mods board, and they download as a single .rar file instead of a folder or zip like I'm used to. How do I make these playable?

a .rar file is exactly like a .zip file, it's an archive. Except that you need the software winrar to open them.

You can also try to download mods that use an installer to make the user's life easier. The mod in my sig has such an installer, simply click it and play
