BtS BOTM 127 Results:

Nice performance by the AI. Good variation in wins: 2 Diplomatic, 2 Cultural, 2 Religious and 1 Space (which Minou went out of his way to facilitate).
Humans managed to get all the Conquest and Domination victories, with some really incredible dates! 200 AD & 400 AD Conquests :cooool:
kcd_swede won the only human Religious victory, but still behind the AI dates. :mischief:

Deity lite, but lots of losses, thanks for submitting.

Here's where everyone settled.

The Small Print:
The numbers by each player's name indicate the turn settled on (starting turn is 0). Players are colour coded by game class (challenger=red, adventurer=blue). Symbols indicate victory condition, if there's no symbol then the player either retired or was defeated. The yellow border indicates the land that was visible at the start of the game.

These are the substitions I made to the map:
horse => cow
copper => gold
iron => silver
ivory => gems
PlotType=1 => PlotType=2
nocho won the prize (by peeking at LowtherCastle's answers)

nocho's map suggestion will be basis for botm130 (to be announced soon)
also, any suggestions are welcome at any time!

currently planned:
  • "some "real" deity games" (whatever that is :mischief:) - suggested by Fippy
  • what else?- yourname here

Not sure what real deity is either except maybe a random roll with a decent looking start and not facing all the potential bad actors at once. I also want to second the smaller map options as I know it has been mentioned before.

I think we all know what that means, no "easy mode deity" only, other options have sadly disappeared lately.

I am not against giving an easier version, as we had it some time ago with different saves available. One normal, one hard and one easier.
But only easy mode..why not use Immortal then instead of deity, and pretending that we actually play deity games.

What does this mean?
Hills => Plains
If you open the worldbuilder file with a text editor (notepad) each tile is identified as one of four PlotTypes (mountain, hill, plain, ice).

As seldom as I actually can win a Deity game, I agree. I almost felt like this was cheating. Religion was a cheesy way to cut the real life commitment, and be sure of a good outcome. It was nice seeing how war on deity plays out, though, and that was my goal for the game. However, if I had won a military victory, I still wouldn't have felt the accomplishment. It was fun, but it would not satisfy my decades old lust to beat Deity in a kill-fest.
