BOTM 139: Augustus of Rome.

August in September. Can Augustus Caesar handle the deity AIs? One of best leaders / Civ, but only starred once before in BOTM (twice in Warlords). Subjugate the other civs (by sword or word) and initiate the Pax Romana.

Sea level: Sealevel_medium


Augustus is Imperialistic and Industrious, and you start with Fishing and Mining.
The Imperialistic trait gives +100% great general emergence and +50% production of settlers

The Industrious trait gives +50% wonder production and double production speed of Forge

Unique unit: Praetorian (replaces Swordsman)
The Praetorian benefits from: base strength = 8, 0% city attack bonus, and 45 hammers to build (on normal speed). This compares with the Swordsman which has: base strength = 6, 10% city attack bonus, and 40 hammers to build (on normal speed).

Unique Building: Forum (replaces Market)
A Market that also provides 25% increase to great person points. :dubious: Remember to build one in your GPF.

Any espionage-culture victories will be counted as cultural victories.
The barbarians start without any techs.

Adventurer Class bonuses:
Play at Emperor difficulty.
