Compared to other games, I thought the victory dates were a bit on the slow side this time. Possibly, needing astronomy for conquest, and that the map had quite a bit of desert didn’t help. Still, a respectable gold medal for @mscellaneous, with a 1575 AD conquest victory. Fastest conquest (1530 AD), and the silver, went to @Jovan Kukic, while @Deckhand secured the bronze medal with a 1720 AD fastest domination. Interestingly, no one managed a space win.

@Fippy, @Xcalibrator and @krikav were brave enough to try the challenger save - specially requested by @Fippy – and which was played on deity instead of monarch level, so massively harder than contender. Of those, only @krikav was able to complete the game and not only securing a domination victory (1812 AD) but only just missed out on getting a medal! @krikav also beat everyone playing contender to secure the cow. I reckon that, despite the lack of medals, that was the biggest achievement by any one this game.

Well done everyone!

Here's where everyone settled.

The Small Print:
The numbers by each player's name indicate the turn settled on (starting turn is 0). Players are colour coded by game class (challenger=red, adventurer=blue). Symbols indicate victory condition, if there's no symbol then the player either retired or was defeated. The yellow border indicates the land that was visible at the start of the game.

Only a couple centuries later than the winning conquests...not bad! And being the only one going for a particular victory condition always helps. :)

Thanks for the game!
