Who did you send it to? civ_steve hasn't been online for several weeks, so it probably hasn't been seen. If you PM me with details I'll investigate.

LOL! Actually, i built a lot of libraries and markets from the early MA, with the intent to make money, keep people happy and counter a cultural pressure that otherwise would have been unbearable. I suppose the land expansion is what gave me an edge in the score. That, and a good use of the luxury slider - the most of my population was still happy even in times of heavy war weariness.

Too fast, apparently .......

First - I have heard from civ_steve He is recovering from a severe back injury which left him unable to sit, and only able to minimise the pain by lying down. Needless to say, that has prevented him from contacting us for the last few weeks. You will all be pleased to hear that Steve is on the mend, but still very stiff.

Second - I have received Megalou's save, which crashed when he tried to get through the victory screen. It ran fine on my system. I have uploaded it, and it steals the bronze medal I do not want to take Raliuven's bronze away, so I propose to amend the results table to show an honorary bronze for Raliuven. Does anyone have a problem with this?

Thank you very much. I am grateful that I'm not snatching the bronze away from Raliuven. Still, I did want to get a result in, because I only played the last couple of hours in order to be able to submit - I had reached an unfun stage in the game after messing up the UN vote.

No problem. In my opinion, a 1265 AD Diplomatic Victory deserves more than 9000 points anyway... (But we already had many discussions about the deficiencies of the Jason score in the past; don't want to start a new one... )

I do wish for Civ_Steve to have a speedy recovery. I must admit that his great/challenging games are what made me decided to join the forum rather than just lurk.

Hey! That's my medal!

I'm okay with the table correction - Megalou certainly deserves the metal - he came in 3rd place fair-and-square. If that means I lose the metal, then that's the way the game is played. I can certainly sympathize with a crashing computer. And the result came up so fast I did a double take. I'm not going to sweat a minor oversight.

Bottom line, I got my diplo award and I'm pretty happy with the results - it was a great game. Bronze medal, no bonze medal, its all good. I'm just happy to be part of the competition! I won't be offended or angry to lose the medal - it'll give me something to shot for next time!

The only question is what to do with the plaque I already bought to display it?

I suppose you'll have to phone the engraver again and ask him to add the word "Honorary!"
