NFL Draft Thread

Arizona presents an interesting challenge. They were 8th in both total offense and defense, both very respectable, but they were 26th in scorind defense and has a terrible turnover margin. And I really don't know them that well at all.

I'm going to be heading out shortly, if I'm not back before the #5 here are my choices (in order of preference):
1) Reggie Bush, RB
2) Mario Williams, DE
3) AJ Hawk, LB

If my pick has been made after I get back, I'll provide a reason behind the pick.

I'm still in. It's a while before my pick, but I'll be keeping tabs on this thread.

Matt Leinart
AJ Hawk
Haloti Ngata

Well, since there is no GM for Buffalo, how does Haloti Ngata, DT out of Oregon sound as their pick?

alright...[clears throat]...with the 14th pick of the 2006 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select...

-LB AJ Hawk (if not taken)
-LB DeMeco Ryans (1st alterante)
-LB Chad Greenway (2nd alternate)

The combine has come into full swing with some interesting numbers coming out of Indy. Apparently Vernon Davis (TE) ran a 4.38 40 time, which basically solidifies him as the top tight end in april's draft. Another impressive 40 time was by DE/OLB Manny Lawson at 4.41 and Chad Jackson put up the fastest 40 time so far at 4.29 The Texans are saying that the rumored 6 wonderlic score is not true, despite it being printed in the Miami Herald and St. Louis Dispatch. Also, the Jets are rumored to be in discussions with the Texans to move up in the draft to take Matt Lienart with the top pick.

Yeah but ESPN had a 15 question sample wonderlic test--I took it 15/15, I'm no brain surgeon, so if he got 6/50 or 16/50 I'm not all that impressed.

Well to put it into perspective, Dan Marino got a 16 on the wonderlic. But I'm sure everyone would agree that he had an impressive career. Though, the test isn't exactly hard, it's how much time you have to take it. For example, you have 12 minutes to answer 50 of those questions.
