Text messaging is far worse - when people don't use their spellcheckers. My ex regularly used to let me know she was coming home by texting 'im on the cup now' (bus). (And people who say 'c u l8r' should be shot.)

"Thats nice. Im jus reachin d bottom of d bottle myself"

Just to clarify: it's another irregular verb. I catch the errors, you are pedantic, he nitpicks. :mischief: i.e., when I do it, it's not nitpicking; but when someone else does, it's annoying (unless they're picking at the same nits as me).
 
Actually, I'm accused of being a nag in real life.

That's why I only complain about something 1 in 7 times that it bothers me. If I'm with someone who chews with their mouth open, I'll only mention it every seven meals with them. The exception is children, who should be reminded of bad habits so they may break them.
 
I am a retired grammar nazi. Never put much effort into the job, though.
