No Achievements for Ada?

Have you played Civ 6? This was shown in the in-game “hall of fame”. Yet another fantastic feature that is missing from Civ 7.

The Hall of Fame was missing from Civ 6 for a long time as well. (to constant community outrage)

I like it. It suits my play style. I played over 1K hours of Civ 6 and got like 28 out of 305 achievements. I played like 40 hours here then found out I have a bunch of achievements and there's mementos. Now I'm working on playing every leader though the ancient era. Someday I hope to play the exploration era. I find it rather strange they released one leader and two civilizations. It would seem a leader is fairly trivial compared to a civilization. What little I saw of exploration was "oh no, not that again" with missionary men running rampant. Leaders, Civilizations and Wonders seems like cheap money making. Personally, it wasn't until late in Civ VI that there were enough new leaders to actually make a significant impact on the game for me. Releasing the SDK would be big. Releasing a fourth age would be as well. Supporting religious warfare as well. I'm broke, after $70 for the game I just don't see another $30. Maybe at the end of the month when you get all the stuff. 4 of 37 achievements on steam is pretty laughable. Considering all they're tracking in the game how hard is it to post some of it to steam?

Achievements have varying levels of support on consoles. Firaxis wants everyone to have the same experience or at least to be as close as possible. Even on PC, different storefronts have varying levels of support for achievements. I can see why they would prefer an in-game system instead. I also prefer it.
The thing is, I can't imagine it takes hardly any effort to add more steam achievements. I'd like to there to be achievements for specific things, like "Transition from the Romans in antiquity to Spain in exploration". This would incentivize people to try out different Civ combos that they otherwise might not bother with.

For instance, if I'm playing China, I will probably never do anything other than Han > Ming > Qing, because I prefer feeling like one linear civilization. But if there's achievements for alternate paths, I'm much more likely to give that a try and maybe find some fun combinations.

"Mongol Invasion: Transition to Mongolia in the Exploration Age from a European Antiquity Age civilization."

We really need more flavor in the Achievements...

I am glad there aren't any convoluted steam achievements like in Civ 5. Don't get me started on the 12 artifacts from different city states one (I never could get that one). I like the leader ones, it does incentivize you to play them.

Anyone know if this new dlc adds more challenges? i admit I have been trying to get a lot of these. I'm not normally ocd, but I can be about these kinds of things. Some of them look difficult. I think there's one for 2 army commanders with 2 maxed out trees. And I found out to max out a tree, that doesn't mean just getting to the bottom, you need all of them. The deity ones might be difficult for me since I don't normally play that difficulty (only once so far to get the playing god achievement).

No new challenges were added which makes me sad.

Hopefully they're planning to add more achievements down the line? Kind of a big letdown for 90% of the achievements to be "win with XYZ leader". Not sure how many achievements previous games had on launch though.
I'm okay with the nature of the achievements. A lot of Civ6's achievements were weirdly specific. The names, however, are so lazy they hurt. "Shawnee Deep in Victory"? "Wo-Man of the Hour"? Doubly disappointing after most of Civ5 and Civ6's achievements were at least slightly clever references.
