Crossroads of the World Collection - Part 1 - Details announced

It seems that Battersea Power Station does not work when you purchase a unit. This is odd as the Carthage ability to duplicate units does work when you purchase them. Oversight or intended?

All roads lead to... Carthage?

Pretty sure its intended. The verbage on Battersea is "Each time you train..." vs the Carthage "When you create." Train is typically the word used to describe using production to make a unit. (Same as "build" or "construct" for buildings, but you neither build or construct people so they say train.)

It's also the same as how the Venetian Arsenal worked in VI.

The civ world before the 4th of March:
- base game without Britain just isn't right and not complete
- putting it in early DLC is just money grab
- everybody will buy the DLC because of Britain, you can sell anything alongside, even Bulgaria & Nepal
- leader choice blown up to a controversy

FXS releases the first wave of Crossroads

The civ world now:
- Britain is a huge disappointment
- hard to imagine that many people care whether the civ in this form was base game, early DLC, late DLC, or not included at all
- leader plays interesting, but isn't special enough to keep up the controversy
- Carthage steals the show, as it is really, really good and the real reason why Crossroads (at a discounted price) forms a valuable addition (not considering the 2nd wave yet)
- even the 4 new natural wonders could turn out to be more important than having Britain

Sorry, Britaboos! It will be civ 6 once again, with maybe a somewhat decent Britain in 2027.

One constant throughout the civ timeline is that people (especially people who live there) won't like Britain/England and will be spectacularly loud about it

Rome, Greece, Norman, Abbasid, Russia, and Great Britain that she also unlocks.

Quite an irony, because Old Benny wears crimson coat and his thematic color is Red with white or yellow trim.
I sometimes match him with Khmer in Age1 so I like to see if in Age III. if he leads Siam (as the 11th Viceroy) how will he modernize Siamese Army to match European Standards and with his same crimson coat?
Interesting enough Ada's recommended route doesn't lead her to a newly born United States of America (Which thematic color has always been Blue with white trim for all along)
:P

But hey, we get these nice videos instead:

I wish we had these for the base game.
Really underwelming.
1. HMS Revenge shares the same hull as Iowa Class BB? Nah! US Navy BBs were designed quite differently. and very much honest to Dreadnought core concepts of 'All main batteries are same big caliber). Royal Navy later BBs had main batteries made up of two caliber guns.
2. And Antiquarians look nowhere different to a standard explorer.
3. And their Tier 3 AFVs (Tanks and Assault Guns) also used American vehicles. Sure Brits used American made AFVs BEFORE the United States joined the Second World War. But this due to British Industrial Capacity couldn't cope with the demans of war so this came Lend Lease Program. Yet this didn't stop domestic designs to be made there. and compared to numerous American supplied AFVs, these were all superior and all used their exclusive designations of 'Cruiser tanks (or Cavalry Tanks)' and 'Infantry Tanks' while anything from America is categorized with more generic names based on weight ratings- 'Light' and 'Medium' tanks.)

Just in case anyone hasn't caught this yet, the Bifocals (which are I believe the first Ben Franklin reward and which grant 50 inf whenever you complete a tech mastery or civic mastery) go just great with Ada as a memento.

Indeed, but she can go Rome (Geographic choice), Norman (unlocked by Rome, Geographic choice) and America (unlocked by both Rome and Norman, although not amongst the recommended choices).

Speaking of which, does anyone know if there's a way to choose one's jersey colors? I've seen that there are alt color combos that can come up (Machiavelli was green and red in one game I played) but I haven't found a way to pick that for yourself yet. (I'm guessing it's simply not currently implemented, as that was a late-game addition to Civ6, but I'm hoping I've just missed something.)

Not what I know. but King Asoke is always deep purple with cyan green trim. and Old Benny is always scarlet red with white trim. exactly British Redcoats and Early Royal Siamese Army tint.
