No Civ Vs here, do you think Civ IV and its modding community will die?

I hope not. Civ V has its advantages and disadvantages compared to IV, but IV still has potential I think. I still intend to write Mods for IV too. :p

It's a silly question given the community that exists for Civ2 and Civ3 with very regular mods and things coming out for Civ3. Obviously Civ4 has its followers and they'll continue to play and expand on Civ4. What else did you expect?

I'll make a mod for Civ5, but until they come out with a version of Final Frontier for Civ5, I will be staying with Civ4 mainly.

I doubt Civ 4 modding will suddenly die. There's a lot of old games that still have modding communities.

CIV is still a fun game. Also, CIV is written in a different language, right? Certain people will continue to feel more comfortable with the former even as the latter gains its foothold.

Cripes, people today still mod Mar*o and F*re Emblem. Sprite games! REALLY! Hobbyists always find some reason to mess with what they find Nostalgic.
