Same here. Khmer was a given for me - I knew I would buy that as soon as it came out. I know it's good for those who bought the deluxe edition that they got the two extra DLCs included, but it does leave those of us who had enough foresight to predict that the offered deal was a poor one, and hence stuck with the standard edition, a bit out in the cold. I expected - correctly - that the 4 promised DLCs would amount to only a bit more than the 20€ surplus cost, and that likelyhood was for one of them to include content that was low priority for me (which indeed was the case, there's not much in the Viking DLC to merit full price) - yet I would make a fool of myself to buy all the DLCs at full cost now. So I'm waiting for a discount, but I do feel I've been waiting long enough by now.Yep. Winter sale better have a good deal. Fortunately, it will probably be a month before I feel like I really need new content after giving in and paying full price for DLC 6. (I haven't bought any of the others yet.)
Oh wow, so they actually put the deluxe edition on 50 % sale, but not a single one of the individual DLCs? That actually seems like a crappy move to me.I purchased the Deluxe version yesterday, after using my brother's copy for awhile now. I am glad I waited until it went on sale now. I think deluxe is worth the $40 US price tag with all the DLCs, which I think are pretty stellar (I could do without Poland, but I've enjoyed the rest).
I do agree that the cost for each DLC is a bit high for standard version users though. The Vikings pack has a few good CSs and NWs, but not for the same cost as a standalone DLC civ. I would say each DLC is about 30% higher than it needs to be, but of course, profit.
