i gotthis from an nother topic.
so when u goto heaven will u have free will?? must u bowtoo god? must u worship him? must u not sin even if u wish to do so?? what if i want some action;) if u get what i mean??

y is god a tyrannical mad man??

maby the angel lusifer isnt what hes made out to be.. maby he saw gods ture ways, his couruption. and revolted to create a true heaven of freedm. and what u realy hear about him and his "hell" is gods lies and propaganda.

its all just a heavenly conspiracy.

I'm guessing that the logical christian answer would be:

Since you'll be a perfect entity in heaven, you'll use you freedom of choice not to sin. It's gonna be your choice to be sinless.

So basically, your not gonna exist anymore, since this perfect entity won't be you, since your not perfect.

Here we go again.....

Your lucky your alive - God made you. So you should bow to him.

If you think its propaganda, fine sin all you want. We'll see who gets the last laugh

But he's got a good point. If you are sinless in heaven, then your not really yourself, you something different. Which brings up the next question: can we really exist in heaven?

But how do you know the christian god is the right god?

How can jesus honestly expect us to beileve in his god when if we dont we will go to hell but at the same time we are a heathen to another religion if we do.

Then, heaven is not a reward for ''you''. but for the perfect entity who is unbelievably boring.

If you are in heaven, then God's presense will persuade you to refrain from sinning. You needent do anything bad because God will provide, when you are with God you will be entertained.

One word: faith.

I think its ignorant to assume that one predefined faith made up by one man is the right faith when other prophets preach a different faith.

Theres no reason why that faith is anymore valid then the other faith.

If there was any tiny shred of evidence i could be convinced otherwise.

Well if that's the case (which is not) then I just better hope that the religion I chose is the correct one. :(

Even though I believe in no religion I have to disagree with you.
Faith is not based on facts, but from feelings, it cannot be questionned nor proven. It's a way of life. Good for those who have it and use it to live a better life.

Hey, this makes no sense. You refuse to enjoy life because you plan to go heaven, then all of a sudden you can not fell anymore?

Then that place should change its name since surely it is not heaven.

What I dream is all people have nervous systems in heaven.

Hey people all good things come with nerves, how can anyone feel good, if he can not feel?

No, my parents made me. 16 years ago.
And I hate my parents. They blame me for everything/look for every excuse to complain at me. Just 5 minutes ago, my mom came downstairs, and accused me of playing computer games. (which I wasn't)

And my expierences led me to the conclusion of no god, partly because of the blatant stupidity of the religious people in my area, and because of no concrete evidence for any.

Whatever.

The point is that in heaven you are in the process of becoming a perfect being. You can't say that it is not you, unless you insist that you are not the same person now that you were as a baby. If you get to heaven it is because you made good moral choices, and you will continue to do so. And despite what some people say, heaven is a great place for those who make it there.

I imagine that if one is determined, one could sin (and thereby get kicked out of heaven), But I can't imagine why they would want too; with an attitude like that, they couldn't get to heaven in the first place.

It's like rubbing a lamp and a magic genie coming out and giving you $100,000 for nothing in exchange. Anyone on earth would accept that (or a similar scenario, and no one give me crap about inflation, or any other reason not to accept, it's an analogy). Does the fact that in just about any scenario you would accept it mean you have no free will?

Just like in heaven the ecstasy from worshipping God will be so great that there is no conceivable reason you wouldn't. That doesn't mean you don't have free will.

More so, you are not who you are right now. Your soul is tainted by temptations of the flesh right now. You live with a severed connection to God right now. This is not how you were originally designed thus you act out of charactor reflecting it.

Must you worship God in heaven? Yes, you have to worship him to get there... this shouldn't be a problem when you get in. Your connection to him will be stronger and you will have a stronger personal relationship with him as well. What makes you wish to defy your creator? Is it your personality, or is it your ego?

Who says there won't be sin in heaven? The devil managed.

But by the looks of it that belongs in another thread I just opened in a new window.

Correct me if I understood the Christian concept of Heaven wrongly but does it mean:

1) No more food and drink because you'll never feel hunger and thirst anymore?
2) No need for sleep and the balancing actions of dreams because you'll have infinite energy?
3) No more sex or anything else pleasurable because the ecstasy of being with God is already overflowing your mind's pleasure center?
4) All you get to do for all eternity is worship and sing praises and nothing else?

Sounds like an extended drug hit, only it never ends. :ack:

Any effort to explain heaven by humans must rely entirely on metaphors, because heaven is by definition beyond human experience. So what we will be doing in heaven is unlike anything we can understand on earth. Those to whom Gpd has revealed some of the details have to use human language and words to describe a divine experience, but this is difficult and won't result in a perfect explanation. So when they speak of "forever singing the praises of God" and the like they don't literally mean that we will just be singing forever. It's a metaphor.
